FREE Career Goal Sheet
I woke up this morning, realizing I need clarity, clarity of my professional career. I always dream about the future as a marketing professional, but not sure how to get there. I did some Googling and went on a long and dreadful search for a career worksheet to help me outline some of my short and long-term career goals, but nothing. So I decided to create my own and, of course, had to make it aesthetic.
Goals help you stay focused on where you want to go and how you plan on getting there—starting with the why is very important. Outlining exactly why you want to achieve a specific career goal is key to helping you achieve it. Creating an outline for your one, three, ten-year career goals will have a better understanding of the timeline, which will help you maintain momentum and have a positive outlook. Writing down your goals will help you stay motivated, focused, and organized.
Every goal you set, whether short-term, mid-term, or long-term, needs to be S.M.A.R.T.
S = Specific: detailed and focused
M = Measurable: quantifiable and produce specific results
A = Attainable: achievable and action-oriented
R = Realistic: practical yet challenging
T = Timely: clear deadlines, timeframes, and completion dates
By creating S.M.A.R.T goals, you can clearly visualize your end goal and help you break down your plan further. Breaking your goal down and making at least four small action items or milestones will help you build accountability with yourself and maintain upward momentum. This worksheet will help you outline your short and long-term career goals, happy planning!
