Top 5 Miami Must-Sees

Hello to all the beautiful people reading my post! While sitting at home in my pajamas during quarantine stuffing my face with hot Cheetos and donuts, I'm daydreaming about the outside world. Blue waters, the sun beaming on my cheeks, and frolicking down Ocean Drive in South Beach. I was raised in Florida so I've seen all of Florida's most popular tourist spots, time and time again due to my massive family that loves to come down to vacation. In today's post, I'm going to be highlighting some of MY Miami must-sees. Make sure to share and like if you plan to visit one of the places I mention or comment on YOUR Miami must-sees if you have already been.

1. Vizcaya Museum & Gardens

The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, previously known as Villa Vizcaya, is the former villa and estate of businessman James Deering, of the Deering McCormick-International Harvester fortune. Vizcaya is breathtaking, to say the least. Surrounded by ten acres of formal gardens, you can wander for hours. Inside the museum, you can walk about into the rooms where you learn about the history of the art and the furniture in that specific room. The entire property is a super cute place to take photos, with the European influenced aesthetics perfect for the gram.

Adults Tickets are $22

2. Ocean Drive (Art Deco Historic District)

Ocean Drive is Miami's most iconic street made up of pastel art deco hotels, music, food, shops, cars, and filled with life. This is a great place to grab a bite, lay out on the beach or hit up the bars/clubs/lounges at night. You could spend all day here with the array of activities you can do. This is a very, very popular street year-round, so make sure you are prepped to be surrounded by people day and night. If you are staying in a hotel near or on the beach, most likely they will provide an option of complimentary beach chairs and towels. This is super useful if you plan on spending some time at the beach, which is highly recommended.

3. Design District

If you are trying to do some serious damage, I highly recommend shopping at Design District. Design District is filled with luxury shops like Saint Laurent, Gucci, Dior, Fendi, and more. This is the perfect place to spend an afternoon to shop, drink and eat! OTL is located in the heart of the Design District that serves up a mean latte. It has a relaxing environment and is the perfect place to grab a quick snack and load up on caffeine. Design District is a massive area that has a multitude of places to shop from, that will keep you busy all day. After being exhausted with all the shopping you will be hungry and Mandolin Aegean Bistro is the perfect place to go. Be prepared to wait for a table, they offer indoor and outdoor seating but I highly recommend sitting outside under trees that provide shade. The restaurant offers traditional Mediterranean food that will transport you to the Greek Islands. With a paradise-like feel, I highly recommend this place. (

4. Wynwood Walls

Wynwood Walls features unique, colorful street murals by artists from around the globe. You can walk around, admire art, eat, shop and drink. The Wynwood strip is rather vast which several spots to take photos. The photo the left is a snap from Miami Mojito Company, which is a mojito bar in front of Wynwood Walls. This tiny tiki hut only serves mojitos but offers a range of different flavors to chose from like strawberry, mango, lychee and more - including virgin options. There are so many great options in Miami to eat it's hard to decide which one. If you want to grab a bite while in Wynwood, I recommend visiting a burger joint called Kush featuring rare burger combinations and incredible sweet potato fries. I recommend the Kush & Hash burger, which is a 4 oz burger with hash, bacon, fried egg, American cheese served on a waffle bun with maple syrup.

5. Frost Museum

The Frost Museum is a great place to learn with your friends and family. Every floor at the museum is a different theme filled with exhibitions, aquarium, live science demonstrations, and your tickets grants you access to one Frost Planetarium show. At the Terrance of the building, they have a garden you can walk through and get a chance to see Miami at a new height. This is a great way to spend time with your friends and family and connect with science, interactively.

Adult explorer tickets are $28
